Whitis Contracting builds custom homes, barndominiums and pole barns on Clark County land, and does additions and remodels on homes in town. We are a family-owned builder with more than 50 years in the family, and our own crews and equipment do the work.
Winchester has a strong identity of its own. Ale-8-One has been bottled here since 1926, and beer cheese was first made in Clark County in the 1940s. The town sits right off I-64, which makes it an easy place to live for families working in Lexington who want more room. In town, older homes near downtown are good candidates for additions and full remodels. Out in the county, farm ground is where new custom homes, barndominiums and shops go up, and those sites need clearing, a driveway and a graded pad first. We do that site work ourselves.
