Junction City sits in a broad valley just south of Danville on US 127, a short drive west of Lancaster on KY 52. Whitis Contracting builds custom homes, barndominiums, additions and pole barns here, and does the excavation and land clearing with our own equipment. We are a family-owned builder with more than 50 years in the family.
Junction City got its name from the railroad junction where the Cincinnati Southern and the L&N lines crossed, and it absorbed the older town of Shelby City along the way. Governor Isaac Shelby's homestead and tomb are just outside town. Today it is a small town with room to build, and south Boyle County has the open ground for new custom homes, barndominiums and shops that is hard to find closer to Danville. It is a few minutes south of Danville on US 127, well within our regular work area.

Lots without sewer need a septic system permitted through the local health department, starting with a site and soil evaluation. We plan the house and septic field together.
